Le fonds a pour objectif de surperformer l´indice TOPIX capitalisé sur un horizon de 5 ans, en investissant dans les grandes capitalisations de la zone "japonaise". La philosophie mise en œuvre consiste à identifier, par le biais d´une analyse rigoureuse, au moyen de modèles quantitatifs internes des données fondamentales et des données de marché, de légères erreurs de valorisation parmi des sociétés comparables. L´évaluation des sociétés est faite sur une base relative par secteur d´activité. La stratégie est mise en oeuvre par la construction d´un portefeuille largement diversifié de titres jugés sous-évalués et ayant une exposition similaire à celle du benchmark en terme de capitalisation, d´exposition pays et secteurs et d´autres facteurs de risque de marché.

Biographie | John-Paul joined Martin Currie in 1998. He co-manages our Japanese long/short strategy, having done so since the fund’s inception, and is co-manager of the long-only Martin Currie Japan Alpha Fund. In common with our other fund managers, he is also an analyst, covering the Japanese banks, real estate and auto sectors.
