Stratégie d’investissement
L'objectif de gestion du Compartiment est la recherche de plus-value en capital sur le long terme. Le Compartiment compte réaliser son objectif d’investissement en plaçant au moins 70 % de son actif total dans des actions et des titres de participation de sociétés constituées dans les pays asiatiques, y compris à Hong-Kong, en Inde, en Indonésie, en Corée, en Malaisie, aux Philippines, à Singapour, à Taïwan et en Thaïlande, ou qui exercent la majeure partie de leurs activités économiques dans ces pays. La Société de Gestion pourra également, lorsqu'elle le jugera approprié, investir sur d'autres marchés asiatiques dont ceux de la région Pacifique et du Bassin Pacifique (hors Japon). Pour chacun des pays dans lesquels la Société de Gestion investira, l'allocation des actifs au sein du portefeuille sera gérée en fonction des opportunités qu'elle identifiera. Aucune limite n'est fixée quant au pourcentage des actifs du Compartiment susceptible d'être investi dans un même pays.

| Biographie | HyungJin Lee is Head of Asian Equities at Barings and takes the lead role in managing investment and research activities across the Asia ex Japan region. Jin has responsibility for managing a number of regional products and mandates, including the Baring Asia Growth Fund, the Baring Eastern Trust and the Baring Korea Trust. Jin was born in the Korean capital Seoul, but spent a large part of his youth on the west coast of the United States after his parents moved to the San Francisco Bay Area when he was a teenager. After successfully completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, Jin moved back to Korea, where he landed a role as a sell-side analyst in Korea’s burgeoning Financial Services sector. At this point in the early 1990s, Korea was truly an emerging market with one of the world’s fastest growing economies, driven by rapid development in areas such as shipbuilding and car manufacturing – markets where Korea maintains a significant competitive advantage to this day. Things changed rapidly in the second half of the decade, however, as the Asian financial crisis swept through the region. The impact on Korea was significant as the economy sharply contracted and the Korean won weakened, with negative repercussions for both households and corporates. | ||

| Biographie | Wilfred Sit joined Mirae Asset Global Investments in 2007 and is now Head of Asia Pacific Investment Strategy. Mr. Sit was previously the regional Chief Investment Officer at Mirae Asset for Asia-Pacific. Before joining Mirae Asset, Mr. Sit worked at Baring Asset Management Asia for three years. | Biographie | Khiem is responsible for the management of a number of specific Asian portfolios, and all Multi Asset portfolios for clients located in Asia.
